Directions from Harare

The drive from Harare to Kariba is approximately 5 hours (around 370km). Travel via Chinhoyi towards Makuti, then turn left down the escarpment towards Kariba. Pass the airport and township, and at the Cutty Sark and Tamarind signs turn left. Follow the tar road for 1km to the Power Line dirt road, turn left, then after another 1km turn right at the Lomagundi Lakeside sign. The road down the escarpment from Makuti can be steep and winding – take it steady, especially after rain.
